16.12.08 BoDW concluded successfully!
After an inspiring week in Hong Kong GBO has made new contacts with nine different Chinese companies. During so-called matchmaking sessions in the Hong Kong Centre for Trade and Development GBO was linked to these businesses based on conforming profiles. Several potential projects have emerged from these sessions.

24.11.08 Freedom of Movement introduces universal carlift
On the 25th of november ‘Freedom of Movement’ will introduce a new by GBO co-developed product called CARLIFT. The product introduction will take place at the Brussels Bozar museum (www.bozar.be). CARLIFT is a universal, easy-to-handle transfer lift developed to move people with a function limitation from a wheelchair into the car.

20.11.08 GBO at the Business of Design Week
Jacques Gramser and Rob Crins will attend the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong since Holland is the partner country for this year.
In cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Finance and its department EVD, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Association of Dutch Designers (BNO) GBO will take part in the largest design event of Asia which is held from 8 to 13 december in Hong Kong. read more… Up.
28.10.08 GBO wins with G.P.G. Stirrups Design Pressure Cooker Sports
Rob Crins from GBO Design - Engineering has won the ‘Design Pressure Cooker Sports’ with G.P.G. Stirrups during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. This Design Pressure Cooker has been organized by Syntens in relation with the project ‘Design Durven Doen 2008’ (Dare to design).

23.10.08 GBO prominently present at Interterior 08 in Kortrijk
GBO’s work can be seen at the interior-design fair 08 in Kortrijk on the stands of three different manufacturers. On the stand of Niko the ‘Mysterious’ is presented. The Mysterious is an innovative switch concept which is mounted ‘in’ the wall, making it become like the wall itself.

22.10.08 Contract between Ahrend and GBO
After previous cooperation on projects such as the A160, the A180 and the A350, Ahrend will soon introduce a product developed together with GBO. An agreement has been signed by Mr. Jacq de Bruin of Ahrend and Mr. Jacques Gramser of GBO to confirm the cooperation. The mentioned product will be positioned in a new market segment for Ahrend.

17.09.08 GBO hosts brainstorm for Anton Jurgens institute
On the 16th of September GBO hosted a brainstorm for the Masterclass of the Anton Jurgens Institute.
A group of twelve course members under the direction of Domingo Loth received explanation of the PAF design process and GBO’s further knowledge on the food sector.
Main topics during this brainstorm were Food & Vitality.

29.07.08 GBO wins 2 GIO awards!
GBO has again won 2 awards. This time they’re the Good Industrial Design Awards.
In the category “Professional products” the VP MicroLab of Virtual Proteins won an award. The other award was won in the category “Consumerproducts” by the Touring 1 of Savic. Up.
04.07.08 Océ Technologies launches CrystalPoint
Océ Technologies launches a fundamentally new printing technique: Océ CrystalPoint. Using this technique, little colored pearls – Océ TonerPearls – are converted into gel, which then can be applied to any type of paper.
The first product based on this technique is the Colorwave 600. For this printer GBO has designed end engineered the cartridges. Up.
18.06.08 GBO exhibits the Di-Cycle at the Designhuis
As of the 22nd of June there will be an exhibition, with “Bicycle” as theme, at the Designhuis in Eindhoven. Part of the exposition will be GBO’s Di-Cycle. The exhibition will be opened until the 5th of October.

17.06.08 Virtual Proteins wins Be_Challenged Award
The by GBO designed VP MicroLab, which recently was already ranked high in the Innovation Top 100, has won the Be_Challenged Award 2008. The by Brainport initiated prize is awarded to the most innovative ICT-solution.

16.06.08 2 Nominations German Design Award 2009
GBO has received two nominations for the German Design Award 2009! The prize is the highest official design award given in Germany. It is awarded by the German Federal Minister for Economics and Technology and organized by the German Design Council. De nominated products by GBO are the SpectroLAB and the Moccona which both won an iF award earlier.

26.05.08 Successful exposition during Artimond
During the weekend of the 24/25th of May, GBO and SKM Rapid Modelling presented a unique concept in the Gemeentemuseum Helmond (municipal museum). A concept was developed for the annual Artimond artfestival in this year’s theme: Eigenaardig (peculiar).

29.04.08 VP MicroLab highly ranked in Innovation Top 100
The VP MicroLab—designed by GBO—was ranked seventh in the Dutch Innovation Top 100. The high-tech instrument was developed Virtual Proteins which was founded in 2003. The VP MicroLab is a virtual reality-system which assists in developing medication.

20.03.08 Readings by GBO in March and April
In the months March and April GBO will give several readings regarding product development and innovation. These readings will take place especially at institutes and professional associations such as the Anton Jurgens institute and Kivi Niria.
On March 5th Jeroen op ten Berg gave a reading concerning Food For Well-Being & Beauty at the Anton Jurgens institute in Den Bosch.
Today, March 20th , Jeroen will give a reading in the Designhuis in Eindhoven, concerning Noord-Brabant, Jiangsu (China) and the Design Academy.
On April 7th Jeroen will give a reading in the Ondernemershuis Ingenieurscafé in Enschederegarding GBO’s experience in product development and China.

07.03.08 GBO wins another iF award!
GBO has received it’s third iF award for 2008! The Moccona Premium Selection packaging for Sara Lee won a iF packaging award. The design was made specificly for an exclusive instant coffee for the Russian market.
Earlier this year GBO already won 2 iF product design awards for the SpectroLAB of NTS-Hermus and the Adventure of Henra. Up.
07.02.08 19 New products by GBO at Ambiente
As of the 8th till the 12th of February the annual Ambiente fair will be held. On this fair, consumerproducts from around the globe will be exhibited.
Amongst these products there will also be a number of introductions of products designed by GBO for DBP, Hautekiet Candles, PDC Brush à nd Zyliss. Also two stands for DBP and PDC Brush will be presented. Up.
06.02.08 Two new colleagues!
GBO is reinforced with two new colleagues! As of today, the 6th of February, Tony Goossens will start as a Creative Engineer at GBO Netherlands. As of the 11th of February Pieter Roex will start at GBO Belgium. Up.
11.01.08 Gamko introduces Flexbar
At the international Horecava ‘08 fair Gamko introduced the Flexbar, wich was designed bij GBO. The Flexbar is a complete new generation of modular drink coolers.
As a sign of appreciation for the successful collaboration Peter Naaijkens, Engineering Manager at Gamko, handed a statue to Jeroen op ten Berg during the introduction.
