14.12.07 GBO at the Euromold 2007
This year GBO exhibited at the 14th Euromold in Euromold in the design & engineering area in hall 6.1.
Positive visitor feedback and promising new business contacts made the fair a successful venture and gave a promising outlook for the coming year.
The domain design+engineering within the overall fair motto “From Design to Prototyping to Series Production” is gathering importance year by year!

14.12.07 GBO wins Out of the Box competition!
In a team effort together with Bandridge and Nelipak, GBO won the 2007 “Out of the Box” packaging competition which was organized by the Netherlands Packaging Centre and iD-L in a series of workshops.

06.12.07 Shell Solar in the news
In the NOS news of the 4th of December was a report about the Shell Solar energy power module. The module was the result of a collaboration between GBO and Shell Solar back in 2002.

04.12.07 GBO wins 2 iF-awards!
GBO has again won two iF product design awards 2008! One award is for the SpectroLAB of NTS-Hermus, the other one is for the Adventure of Henra.

02.11.07 Another new colleague!
As of the beginning of November our team is reinforced again! Klaske Postma will be occupied as a Creative Engineer at GBO Netherlands. Up.
16.10.07 Dutch Design Week 2007
At the 20th of October the Dutch Design Week will start again. Except for the fact that GBO will be present at the “Strijp-S” location in a so-called “Dutch Living Room”, there are another few items during the Dutch Design Week to mention. More about these after “Read more”.

08.10.07 New colleague!
As of the 8th of October the GBO-team welcomes Loes Stammen. Loes will be occupied with graphic designing for GBO Netherlands as well as for our clients. Up.
05.10.07 MBC Yeosu Munhwa Broadcasting (Korea) at GBO
Within the scope of “Brabant Stad” MBC Yeosu Munhwa Broadcasting (Korea) has made recordings and interviewed Jacques Gramser and Jeroen op ten Berg at GBO at friday the 5th of October.
This as a result of an interview at GBO regarding product development in the region.

18.09.07 Design presentation in Nanjing (China)
Organised by the province of North-Brabant, the 8th through to the 16th of September a trade mission to China has taken place in which the “Brabants Orkest” and the theme design were center of attention.
As a request of the BOM and Brainport GBO presented a vision on collaboration with Chinese companies. The delegation visited the cities of Nanjing, Yangzhou, Wuxi and Shanhai during this week. During the mission there was contact with companies, research institutes, schools and the Chinese government. Up.
10.07.07 elemenT pendant nominated for Designpreis 2008
The pendant from the elemenT series of Melis Lighting is nominated for the Designpreis 2008. The Designpreis is an official “recognition of excellence in design” offered by the Federal Republic of Germany to promote good design.
Because companies cannot enter for the design award themselevs, and because previous (inter-)national awards are a precondition to enter the contest, the Designpreis is reffered to as the Prize of prizes.

GBO exhibits at ‘de Week van het Ontwerpen’ (the Week of Designing) 2007 in Kortrijk, Belgium.

25.06.07 GBO Belgium has moved
After our succesful start in 2005 and a booming period in the designcenter ‘De Winkelhaak’ in Antwerp, GBO Belgium was compelled to move and to be able to work in our own inspiring environment
where our Belgian establishment can accrue and our creative brains can work on innovative products.
Our new studio is located at ‘de Vlaamse Kaai’ 76 in Antwerp, on the third floor of the building ‘De Natie’ (The Nation). - We’re looking forward meeting you there… Up.
30.03.07 iF award ceremony in Hannover
GBO en Melis Lighting received the prestiguous iF award in Hannover as a recognition for the innovative work we developed together over the past two years.
The elemenT line is currently in full production and implemented by various international architects as the renewal of professional lighting. A solid example of productdevelopment as a strategic choice for success! Up.
31.01.07 GBO presents itself at Kortrijk’s “Grote Markt”
Design region Kortrijk requested GBO to decorate the kiosk at their Grote Markt (town square). During the month of February, we will display our skills as a professional design agency. The majority of the exhibited designs will be recently released products like the Telenet ‘installationbox’, lunchbox for DBP, the Wilnest bird’s house and the elemenT lighting series for Melis Lightingfor Melis Lighting (iF award 2007).
